About the Candidate
Sarah Kim, MSN, RN, CNL

Biography: I am a second-year DNP-PMHNP student at the University of Washington. I have broad experience in a variety of settings including an evaluation and treatment center, an inpatient voluntary adult unit, an inpatient adolescent unit, and most recently a community mental health clinic serving adults and children with severe mental illness. I have a particular interest in care and outcomes management and enjoy working with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
Statement: As a board member, I hope to represent the interests of student members and share our vision for improving patient outcomes. Each of us brings unique experiences and skill sets to this field, and each of us will have a hand at shaping the future of psychiatric mental health care in Washington. My experience in community mental health has allowed me to see the importance of identifying and addressing systemic barriers to accessing mental health care and building and promoting effective systems across the continuum of care. I hope that we can use our collective experiences to advocate for our patients and support the PMHNP role.
Thank you for voting!
