As this year’s legislative session draws to a close, several bills AAPPN supported are moving their way through the House and Senate.
Amendments to clarify preceptor rules and reduce barriers for nursing student access to preceptors take effect on April 26, 2019.
Since the 2016 Washington State Supreme Court decision Volk v. DeMeerleer, patients may be reluctant to engage with health care providers about their violence risk. Health care providers may also be uncertain about how to meet their legal obligations.
