Inpatient PMHNP Block Schedule
- Benefis Health System is seeking an inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team of behavioral health providers in Great Falls, Montana.
- Full Time, Block Schedule!
- 5 days on (M-F), 7 days off, 2 days on (Sat-Sun), 7 days off
- Working days are typically 10-12 hours onsite services with 24 hour call responsibilities
- Onsite services include playing an integral role on our consult-liaison team, providing care to patients on our inpatient behavioral health unit and medical floors, consulting with hospitalists and ER physicians, and taking calls for admissions from our ER and surrounding area hospitals
- Common consults include those for capacity, delirium, behavioral disturbances associated with dementia, as well as depression and anxiety (often in the context of suicidal ideation or recent overdose)
- Overnight call is from home with access to EMR and does not usually involve coming in to the hospital
- Opportunity to work in additional areas during “off” days if desired
- Mentorship and oversight provided by experienced inpatient Psychiatrist who is onsite

This is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated multi-specialty group of behavioral health clinicians (Psychiatry, Psychology and Counseling) providing consultative, therapeutic and psychiatric services at an organization focused on providing the best mental health care to our patients in need. Our current provider team consists of: 1 Inpatient PMHNP (hiring 2 additional), 1 Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist, 1 Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist, 1 Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist, 2 additional PMHNPs with outpatient clinics, 2 Adult Psychologists, 1 Rehab Psychologist and 2 Adult Neuropsychologists. We also have a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, a Pediatric Neuropsychologist and a Pediatric Psychologist integrated in our Women’s and Children’s Center. In addition to our mental health providers, we also have a great team of inpatient and outpatient counselors, including 4 on our consult-liaison team, who see patients in the ER and on inpatient medical floors, performing initial psych and substance abuse evaluations and providing community resources and therapy
Compensation and Benefits
Full time is considered to be 122 shifts annually working the schedule above. Additional benefits include: Incentive Compensation Annual Bonuses, Sign on/Relocation, $6K annual CME/Licensure fund, 5% retirement match, competitive health insurance, paid malpractice + tail, and more!
