Navos is seeking a full or part-time Psychiatrist or ARNP to join a collegial group of 3 Psychiatrists, 3 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Primary Care providers at our psychiatric hospital. The Psychiatrist or ARNP will provide direct clinical care, including admission evaluations, treatment planning and discharge management. The caseload is manageable. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes Primary Care providers, nursing staff, social workers, therapists, floor staff, chemical dependency staff and peer specialists. The position includes a requirement for in-house weekend call once a month.

Navos is one of the largest community mental health agencies in the Seattle area. Navos is a 70-bed hospital serving primarily involuntary patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to community mental health and be able to work effectively with the treatment team. The candidate should be skilled in psychiatric and substance abuse diagnostic assessment, medication management in an acute setting and integrated treatment of the chronically and persistently mentally ill. Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital and familiarity with the Washington Administrative Code standards regarding treatment of involuntary patients is preferred.

The position offers competitive salary with a full array of benefits, including CME, and there are opportunities for additional compensation for occasional coverage. Physicians need to be BE/BC in Psychiatry and have a Washington State license and a DEA license.  ARNPs will have an advanced nursing degree, Psychiatry Certification, and have a Washington State RN license, a state NP license and a DEA license.
