Practice Description

Hello! My name is Lisa Koykar, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC and I am psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in using solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, as well as motivational interviewing to treat a variety of mental health issues in individuals of all ages.

I am passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges by providing personalized and evidence-based care. Through solution focused therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths and empower them to develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles. CBT helps clients challenge and reframe negative thought patterns and behaviors, while DBT teaches valuable skills such as mindfulness and emotion regulation.

In addition to psychotherapy, I also provide medication management services for individuals who may benefit from psychotropic medications as part of their treatment plan. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health care that considers the individual’s unique needs and preferences.
