COVID-19 Vaccines

January 9, 2021 by AAPPN

Covid Vaccination

COVID-19 Vaccine Guidance

Washington state is taking a phased approach to distributing and administering the COVID-19 vaccine.

Workers in health care settings can now receive the vaccine under the state’s Phase 1A. You can read more about the state’s vaccination plan in the Washington State COVID-19 Vaccination Plan.

Phase 1A

Tier 1

High-risk workers in health care settings.

High-risk first responders.

Residents and staff of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other community-based, congregate living settings where most individuals over 65 years of age are receiving care, supervision, or assistance.

Phase 1A Tier 2 (After completion of Tier 1)

All workers in health care settings.

Vaccinations for Your Clinic

Clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals interested in administering COVID-19 vaccine must enroll in the federal COVID-19 Vaccination Program. The Washington State Department of Health is coordinating this enrollment process for providers in Washington state. You can use the COVID-19 Provider Enrollment Guide (PDF) to help you through the enrollment process.

Check Your Eligibility

If you have a private practice or are unable to receive the vaccination through your workplace, you can use the Washington State Department of Health’s PhaseFinder tool to confirm your vaccine eligibility.

The PhaseFinder tool allows you to input personal details like age, location, and you work in health care. At the last screen, you will be prompted to enter your name to get a confirmation message to show to a vaccine provider to demonstrate your eligibility.
