Dear AAPPN Members,
As your Board of Directors, we wanted to let you know that dues rates for Clinical, Emeritus, and Out-of-State Members will be increasing during 2025:
- Clinical Members: from $250 to $275
- Emeritus Members: from $100 to $110
- Out-of-State Members: from $150 to $165
Why are we making this change?
We are all invested in the sustainability of AAPPN as a vibrant professional community and an active force in protecting our scope of work and expanding our career possibilities in the State of Washington.
Inflation has taken a toll on all of us, and AAPPN is no exception. We have seen significant increases in our costs for effectively advocating in Olympia, providing continuing education, and creating opportunities for connection for our members.
What else is AAPPN doing to strengthen sustainability?
A healthy professional association balances dues and non-dues revenue resources. In the past year, AAPPN has increased non-dues revenue by hosting an in-person Master Class, growing our event exhibitor capacity, and adding to our video library. We also moved the Annual Conference to a larger, more conveniently located venue.
These efforts have expanded our services and our non-dues revenue streams, allowing us to maintain a healthy balance where dues account for less than half of our operating budget.
Are all dues categories being raised?
The Board has chosen not to raise dues to our Student Members. We believe that building a sustainable organization includes creating opportunities for the next generation of practitioners.
We understand the financial burden our Student Members carry in completing their education. Therefore, AAPPN will also continue our policy of allowing our Student Members to maintain their $50 Student membership through their first year after graduation.
When will we see the change in dues?
The changes will take effect for renewals and new memberships starting in 2025. For those Members with auto-withdrawal dues, you will be reminded again about the increase before your auto-renewal date.
We invite you to provide feedback and ask any questions. Please email gro.nppaa@eciffo and a member of our Board will contact you directly.
As AAPPN members, we all work together to ensure that AAPPN maintains a vital role in the strength of our profession and the health of our communities. Thank you for joining with us to continue this journey together.
