The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission plays a crucial role in our profession. The commission ensures consistent standards of practice and continuing competency mechanisms and discipline, along with monitoring and enforcement of licensing of practicing nurses in Washington state.
In June, open positions will include an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner member. There is a need for candidates with diverse backgrounds and geographic representation.
The commission meets six times a year, usually on the second Friday in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Commissioners receive modest compensation.
Please consider if you would like to serve your profession by joining the commission.
To learn more, visit the Governor’s website and complete the form no later than March 31, 2022. You are also invited to listen to the Board of Nursing Podcast and visit the NCQAC website.
