It was my honor to join with fellow members from the AAPPN Board, as well as from the Legislative and Education committees, for our Leadership Retreat on July 20. I am impressed by the level of commitment and passion each of these nurse leaders bring to our professional community.

Two of the initiatives discussed are already taking shape. AAPPN is deepening our existing relationship with the Lois Price Spratlen Foundation. Together, we are hosting an event to celebrate our 2024 award recipients and the Foundation’s 2024 scholars. And later this fall, you will be able to donate to the Foundation when you join or renew your membership with AAPPN or register for an AAPPN event.

We’re also planning a new monthly online group for members interested in psychotherapy. Nikki Behner and Danielle Waldron will be co-chairing. If you are interested in signing up for the Psychotherapy Group, please contact Chris Crosser at gro.n1792065489ppaa@1792065489sirhc1792065489.

I hope you will join me on October 5 for our Annual Conference and our Scholarship and Awards Breakfast. Together we will celebrate our accomplishments, learn new skills, and support the future of our profession.

Thank you for strengthening our professional community as an AAPPN member!
